We are urgently seeking a long-term safe place for Melanie* to call home in the Macarthur District.

Could you be a foster carer for Melanie?
Melanie is a 10-year-old girl who needs a foster family to help her continue to grow and flourish. She has been thriving in a short-term placement with other children, but needs a long-term solution with a carer who can guide her through to adulthood.
Full of energy and creativity, Melanie’s favourite activities are gymnastics, dancing, animals and trampolining. She also enjoys taking time to relax with activities like colouring in and reading.
School is a positive environment for Melanie, she has made lots of friends, enjoys after school playdates and is part of a school sport team. Assigned homework is something she will need support with from her foster family.
Melanie has a support system of siblings and extra-curriculars in the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly area. She is thriving in this area, and it is vital that she remains near this support system with her future foster family. Ideally her new placement will enable her to continue at the same school where she has developed strong connections.
Her foster family will need to work alongside our team at Family Spirit and her support system to assist Melanie with strategies and activities to continue her growth.
What support do carers receive?
To meet the current need for emergency and crisis care, Family Spirit will fast track the foster carer application and training process. As a Family Spirit carer, you’ll also receive ongoing training and support from our team.
