The passionate families who provide foster care know that taking a child into their lives enriches the whole family and provides security and comfort to children in need.
Children who do not have a safe person to depend on in their lives often struggle with managing emotions, learning at school and forming close friendships. Foster carers who provide safety can change the trajectory of a child’s life by providing emotional security, helping them learn to trust so that they can learn and make friends.
The assessment to become a foster carer is made on an individual basis understanding that all situations are not the same.
