We support carers to provide long-term care for children who are not able to reside with their birth families.
For some of these children, adoption by a carer may be an option. As an accredited adoptions agency, we are able to provide dual authorisation.
This means we can facilitate the legal, logistical and emotional process whereby foster carers can be assessed, trained and authorised to become both foster carers and adoptive parents for children who may currently be in foster care.
We also provide information sessions for prospective foster carer and adoptive parents.
And you can read about one family's experience or foster to adoption and how, after ten years waiting to adopt, this provided them with a parallel pathway to creating a family.
